The Memory Care Unit is a specialized unit that is separate from the rest of the facility, where care is provided by nurses and staff who specialize in assisting memory loss individuals. Staff members can also assist memory loss individuals with personal hygiene and showering, which alleviates stress from the family of the participant.  The Memory Care Unit is also connected to a garden outside where participants can water plants and enjoy fresh air. High-functioning memory loss individuals can enjoy all areas of Oxnard Family Circle outside of the Memory Care Unit while remaining safe and secure.The Day Care Program for adults with memory deficiencies is designed to stimulate participants by taking them on field trips to restaurants, parks, the beach, and other areas within the community of Ventura County. These outings will give them a change of scenery and an opportunity to connect with each other and build social skills. Your loved one will be able to exercise their mind and memory by playing games that require memory use. Individuals are able to socialize with each other every day, build relationships, and play games or do crafts, which helps boost mental and emotional health.  Oxnard Family Circle also provides two meals a day. Breakfast and lunch are cooked on site to ensure that food is high in quality and low in fat, sugar and sodium.  Oxnard Family Circle also has an exercise and fitness area that utilizes strengthening and stretching of arms and legs, full body workouts, and fine motor skills. The Memory Care Unit at Oxnard Family Circle is a home away from home. We provide sitting areas with reclining couches, chairs, television, music, books, and other familiar and welcoming items to emulate the protection, care, and utmost comfort felt at home.
